I was thinking of you and your husband just yesterday when the kids and I took a field trip to close by town. We got to hear from a bronze scultorer about his work and how he does it. It was great!! It made me wonder more about the process your husband goes through to make these...if it is similar and so forth. I would love to see the presidents! Maybe one day I will!!! Thanks for sharing the article. I would love to learn more!

Wow! Thank you, Leslie. We're still not used to seeing his name in print, so I get all excited. Who was the artist you visited? Bronze sculpture is a long, involved process, and I do plan to write about it *one of these days*. If you ever get up this way, swing round to see us and we'll give you the grand tour.

I really will write about Gladys Taber's Especially Father. It was great.

Jeannie,
The artist was an Australian named Archie St. Claire. I read that he worked at a foundry in AZ but now he pours his own bronze (in Grapevine, TX). Does your husband do that? Mr. St. Claire invited us back in a few months see the bronze pouring part of his studio that is now underconstruction.
It was all very interesting. I especially liked that he discovered his talent later in life after a serious injury. He had been a cattleman and helicopter pilot.

No hurry on writing anything. I have you in my google reader! :D
